Fantasy Premier League (FPL) rewards bold strategy, and over the years, some managers have been rewarded by following their own bizarre rules.
In the 2016/17 campaign, Everton fan Ben Crabtree was crowned FPL champion after beating 4.5 million managers without using a single Liverpool player.
That was during a Premier League season when Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho were scoring massive points, but Crabtree bypassed them completely by selecting overlooked differentials and maximizing heavy-hitter alternatives elsewhere.

Scotland's top FPL manager only uses players for teams in blue
A strict personal constraint eliminates the decision of having too many options, and that is exactly the situation Scotland's number one FPL manager finds himself in.

Across the first six gameweeks, the team 'Deacon Blue', managed by Davie Burt, has risen to the top of the league in Scotland with 521 points by only using players from teams that only wear blue.
That limits him to selecting players from Manchester City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton, Chelsea, Ipswich Town, and Coventry City, which should, in theory, limit his options.
But Burt scored a mammoth 99 points in gameweek six, with his team featuring double-digit returns from Maxim De Cuyper (15), Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (13), Joao Pedro (12) and Erling Haaland (12 - captain).
He also bench-boosted, though that decision arguably backfired, as he only scored an extra six points from Ipswich Town's Alex Palmer (0) and Issa Diop (2), as well as Man City's Iliman Ndiaye (1), and Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite (3).
Davie Burt's gameweek six team in full -
GK: Bart Verbruggen (9); DEF: James Tarkowski (3), De Cuyper (15), Josko Gvardiol (4)
MID: Pascal Gross (6), Dewsbury-Hall (13), Morgan Rogers (9), Cole Palmer (8)
FWD: Pedro (12), Emersonn (2), Haaland (12)
Impressively, despite only selecting players from six teams and snubbing the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, Burt is currently 12th in the world and hasn't dropped below 63 points in a single gameweek.

Which FPL players scored the most points?
Burt started the season with the popular Chelsea triple-up, accruing 117 of his 521 points from Palmer, Rogers and Pedro.
The trio all returned in their 5-1 hammering of Bournemouth on Saturday, with Pedro stealing the headlines by scoring a brace at Stamford Bridge.
He also looked like a genius after transferring in De Cuyper for Brighton's gameweek three fixture against Leeds United. The Belgian has since become the game's highest-scoring asset (53) alongside Seagulls teammate Pascal Gross, who he has owned since gameweek one.
His decision to select Tarkowski from the start has also been vindicated, as he's registered the second-most points of any defender (46) after inspiring the unbeaten Toffees to three clean sheets in their opening six matches.
Interestingly, Burt has only used two of his four chips - triple captain and bench boost - with the free hit and wildcard still available.
Should he somehow continue this excellent start, and potentially even win FPL, it will be the most impressive achievement in the game's history.
