Fans have been shocked by one inclusion in the FIFPRO Men's World XI.

On Monday afternoon, the FIFPRO Men's World XI was confirmed on social media.

Five players from the Premier League made the cut, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, Erling Haaland and Ederson all included.

The other spots were all filled by Real Madrid stars with Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvahal, Antonio Rudiger, Toni Kroos, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior all named in the XI.

Reacting on social media, fans can't quite believe Ederson was included in the best XI.

One fan said: "How Ederson sneaks into these world 11s is crazy, good keeper but the amount of goals he lets in that he should be saving is mad."

Another tweeted: "Ederson?"

A third fan added: "Why is Ederson in there? Didn't even make prem team of the season? Surely if any goalkeeper has to be Raya?"

Someone else wrote: "What is Ederson doing there."

A fifth commented: "Ederson is even more mindblowing."

At the start of the month, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made a surprising call as he picked Stefan Ortega over Ederson for the huge Premier League clash against Liverpool.

German Ortega has since remained in goal for recent matches against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.

Speaking about his decision to drop Ederson at the time, Guardiola said: "We just wanted to change something. Eddy has saved a lot of goals for us. He’s saved one-versus-ones many, many times, but I decided to pick Stefan (Ortega Moreno) today.

"Both are incredibly top goalkeepers, they’re both incredible with their feet and in one-versus-ones."
