Belgium advanced into the quarter-finals of the World Cup with a stunning 4-1 victory over co-hosts USA, and comments made by a Croatian journalist in the aftermath have gone viral.
Rudi Garcia's men produced a clinical performance at the Lumen Field stadium in Seattle, with a brace from Charles De Ketelaere and strikes from Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku sending them through to the quarter-finals for the fourth time in their history.
USA, meanwhile, failed in their quest to reach the last eight for the first time in 24 years as Mauricio Pochettino's men were hammered by the Red Devils, and to many, this result served a lot of justice.
The build-up to the match was dominated by FIFA's decision to suspend Florian Balogun's one-match ban for a year after accidentally catching Tarik Muharemovic with his studs during their round of 32 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

FIFA referred to Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, which allows it to suspend the enforcement of a previously imposed disciplinary sanction.
The decision to overturn Balogun's red card was met with considerable outrage from the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA), confirming in a statement that they were "astonished" by the development.
Controversially, US president Donald Trump played his part in the 25-year-old being allowed to feature against Belgium, as he revealed that he contacted FIFA president Gianni Infantino to ask for the red card to be reviewed.
Trump even claimed in a speech at the White House that he was "the one that got them to do it", and that didn't sit right with the majority of the footballing world, as the outcome of the fixture served as huge karma to those involved.
Croatian commentator mocks Donald Trump after Belgium thrash USA
Having fought for Balogun's inclusion in the World Cup round of 16 showdown, the Monaco striker produced a woeful performance and was substituted in the first minute of added time.
Belgium rubbed salt in the wounds by performing a dance routine that appeared to taunt President Trump's signature move after Lukaku bagged their fourth goal of the evening.

For those unaware, the Trump dance is a celebratory routine inspired by the US president dancing to his campaign song "Y.M.C.A." by the Village People.
That wasn't the only incident of the 80-year-old being mocked during the humiliation, as a Croatian commentator referenced the White House calling Infantino in the build-up to the fixture.
"Belgium have won, but let's wait, maybe tomorrow morning when we wake up, a call from the White House comes in," he said.
Justice was arguably served with Belgium smashing the co-hosts, and their reward is a quarter-final clash against one of the pre-tournament favourites, Spain, on Friday evening.
The Red Devils are aiming to reach the semi-finals of the competition for only the second time in their history after doing so in 2018.
Going all the way and winning the tournament would be the perfect ending for the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Lukaku on their final World Cup appearance.
