FA Cup third round draw: Holders Man Utd handed nightmare tie as full draw revealed

Holders Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City enter the competition.

The FA Cup third round draw has been competed as holders Manchester United and Premier League leaders Liverpool have entered the competition.

The second round took place last weekend, with the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Birmingham City, Stockport County and Charlton Athletic all booking their spot in the next round of the FA Cup.

Not to mention Doncaster Rovers, who survived a scare against Kettering Town.

All Premier League and Championship teams have now entered the competition, including holders Man United and league leaders Liverpool.

The Red Devils will be looking to defend their title under new manager Ruben Amorim following the club's triumph over Manchester City last season.

And Amorim's team have been handed a tricky tie at Arsenal, who have won the FA Cup a record 14 times.

Liverpool, who are in blistering form under Arne Slot, face League Two outfit Accrington Stanley.

Chelsea take on League Two's Morecambe while last season's beaten finalist Man City face League Two's Salford City.

When are the FA Cup third round games?

The FA Cup third round is set to take place on the weekend of Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Games are expected to be played across the dates of January 10, 11, 12, 13, 2025.
