Europa League draw: Man Utd, Spurs and Rangers' routes made clearer as play-off ties confirmed

The first Europa League knockout ties have been revealed.

The draw for the first Europa League knockout stages has been revealed.

After a thrilling evening of 18 live Europa League matches, eight sides including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers, booked their place in the round of 16.

The final group stage games saw 12 teams eliminated from the competition, with the remaining 16 sides set to face each other in a two-legged play-off, with the winner facing one of the top eight sides from the group stage in the next round.

With the draw for the Europa League knockout phase now completed, the likes of Ajax, Roma and Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce have all had their fixtures confirmed.

The Europa League knockout phase draw took place at 12pm in Switzerland, determining which seeded and unseeded teams will be facing off in the next round.

Teams that finished between ninth and 16th in the standings were seeded and drawn against an unseeded team that finished between 17th and 24th in the table.

Europa League knockout phase draw in full:

FC Twente v Bodo/Glimt

Fenerbahce v Anderlecht

Union Saint-Gilloise v Ajax

PAOK FC v FCSB

AZ Alkmaar v Galatasaray

Midtjylland v Real Sociedad

Ferencvaros v Viktoria Plzen

FC Porto v AS Roma

First legs: 13 February 2025

Which teams have already qualified for the last-16?

Eight teams have qualified directly for the last-16:

1 - Lazio

2 - Athletic Club

3 - Manchester United

4 - Tottenham Hotspur

5 - Eintracht Frankfurt

6 - Lyon

7 - Olympiacos

8 - Rangers

What does the draw mean for Manchester United, Tottenham and Rangers?

All teams that have already qualified for the round of 16 will have to wait until next month to find out exactly who they will be facing in their next match.

However, the knockout phase draw has provided some extra insight into the possible fixtures for each of the top teams in the competition.

For United, they will face AZ Alkmaar or Galatasaray if they are drawn in the silver side of the bracket, while they will play either Midtjylland or Real Sociedad if they are place on the orange side.

The same goes for Tottenham, who have he same four possible opponents as they finished just one place below their English rivals in the Europa League group stage.

Meanwhile Rangers can expect to face either FC Twente or Bodo/Glimt on the silver side of the draw, or one of Fenerbahce or Anderlecht on the orange side.

When is the draw for the round of 16 and quarter-finals?

The round of 16, quarter-final, semi-final draws will take place on February 21.
