Alan Shearer's reaction to Scotland's Euro 2024 exit live on BBC has gone viral online.

Scotland were eliminated from the tournament at the group stages for the second consecutive Euros after taking just one point from three games in Germany.

Steve Clarke's side threw caution to the wind late on against Hungary in their final group fixture but were caught on the counter attack as Kevin Csoboth popped up with the winner in the tenth minute of stoppage time.

The Tartan Army were furious after Argentine referee Facundo Tello failed to award a penalty when Stuart Armstrong looked to have been bundled over in the area by Willi Orban.

But although they showed heart, ultimately Scotland did not have enough quality and deservedly finished bottom of Group A.

And former England striker enjoyed it very much. The Newcastle United legend was in the BBC studio alongside David Moyes and Rachel Corsie.

The camera panned back to the studio following shots of the fans and Shearer cracked a wry smile as he looked at the camera.

Shearer attempted to play it cool but plenty of viewers noticed his antics, with one clip garnering nearly 300,000 views.

One wrote: "He’s the most unserious pundit there is."

A second said: "Alan Shearer has been on top form these past couple of weeks. From his punditry to his co-commentary, from his podcast appearances to his facial expressions. 10/10."

Another commented: "We see you @alanshearer."

A fourth user added: "Fair play to @alanshearer he had probably been holding that in since Hungary scored the winner."

A final person added: "Shearer has been on absolute top form these Euros."

Shearer also been providing co-commentary for England games, giving plenty of passionate opinions on the first two fixtures.
