The France camp has reportedly been stuck by an apparent sickness bug ahead of Euro 2024.

Heading into the tournament, which will begin with host nation Germany taking on Scotland on Friday night, France are one of the favourites to go all the way.

France were knocked out by Switzerland on penalties back in Euro 2020 and will look to do better this time around.

However, ahead of their clash against Austria on Monday, France have been struck by a sickness bug.

As reported by talkSPORT, Kylian Mbappe and Kingsley Coman were forced to miss training.

Paris Saint Germain star Ousmane Dembele had also been affected by the illness but confirmed he is doing well during a press conference.

He said: “For me I am a lot better. I had the flu last week and I was the first one but I feel a lot better now.

“The team is a lot better. Everyone will be okay in a couple of days.”

It is believed that manager Didier Deschamps has also been affected.

During his interview with CNN, Mbappe spoke about his desire to complete the set having already won the World Cup and the Nations League with France.

He said: “I want to win the Euros. I have to be honest. I won the World Cup. I won the Nations League. That’s the only one that missed me with the national team after I did everything with the national team.

“I really want to win this. My first competition as captain, so it’s really important for me and it’s always important for the country and we want them to be proud of us. [It’s] another opportunity to write the history of my country.”
