The first England player has spoken out amid reports claiming Gareth Southgate is set change formations for their quarter-final clash against Switzerland.

England resume their Euro 2024 campaign on Saturday when they face Switzerland for a spot in the semi-finals.

Southgate will be without Marc Guehi after he picked up a second yellow card of the tournament against Slovakia.

As for Jude Bellingham, a 'likely' decision has been revealed following his UEFA investigation.

And, according to reports, Southgate is considering switching to a back three as a result of Guehi's suspension.

It's thought John Stones, Kyle Walker and one of Ezri Konsa, Lewis Dunk and Joe Gomez will make up a three-man defence.

Should Konsa get the nod, he said it's down to Southgate on whether England change formations.

Asked about potentially changing formations against Switzerland, he replied: "Look, it's down to the gaffer and what he thinks suits us best."

Konsa made his first appearance of the Euros against Slovakia as a substitute in extra-tine.

But he could feature from the start against Switzerland.

The Aston Villa defender said he's 'ready' to play at right-back or centre-half for England.

"[We have] defended really well. If the boss puts me on I will always be ready," said Konsa.

"I always dreamed of playing for England as a kid. It was a proud moment for me and my family.

"Wherever Southgate puts me, I am ready. Last season, I played at right-back which took some getting used to but I can play there and as a centre-half."

Konsa made 50 appearances for Villa last season as he helped his side qualify for the Champions League.

He has five England caps to his name since making his debut in a friendly match against Brazil.
