England fans all make the same complaint after Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain

England fans on social media all made the same complaint following their crushing Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain.

Mikel Oyarzabal scored a dramatic winner after Cole Palmer had cancelled out Nico Williams' opener.

Oyarzabal poked home from close range in the 86th minute, with England having little time to reply for a second time.

Four minutes of extra-time was added on but fans online bemoaned the lack of play following the 90 minutes of play.

Match referee Francois Letexier blew for a couple of fouls with Spain players wasting time to the anger of England supporters.

One X user wrote: "When 4 minutes extra time are awarded, 4 minutes should be played, not time wasting for 3 minutes by the Spanish and sideshow bob diving all over the place."

A second tweeted: "Not a minute of extra time has been played there by the way!"

A third added: "Also how do you spend 3 and half minutes of extra time just chilling on the floor and not get an further time."

A fourth said: "4 mins extra time, one min of football played in it the rest they are rolling around."

A fifth slammed: "Multiple fouls in extra time yet he blew before the 94th minute, sh*t ref."

England fans wanted more time added on following the fouls given by Letexier, with Marc Cucurella guilty of killing time following his clash with Bukayo Saka.
