Fans have named the one player who should start England's next match following their big win over Serbia.

England beat Serbia 1-0 to kick off their Euro 2024 campaign with a victory.

Jude Bellingham scored the only goal of the game as he headed home in the 13th minute.

The Real Madrid star performed his trademark celebration before showing off a new celebration with Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Despite recording a win in Group C, England fans want Gareth Southgate to make a change to the starting XI when they face Denmark next Thursday.

People on social media want Adam Wharton to be drafted into the side following his stunning emergence at Crystal Palace last season.

The 20-year-old joined Palace from Blackburn Rovers during the January transfer window and shone under Oliver Glasner.

He made 16 appearances in the Premier League and was called up to the Three Lions squad for this summer's tournament.

Having made his debut in a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina, England supporters want Wharton from the start against Denmark.

One X user wrote: "Play Adam Wharton. The lad is absolute class. And there’s a space for him."

A second tweeted: "Gareth Southgate has to realise that Trent at RB and Wharton at DM is the fix or England won’t win."

Southgate opted for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Declan Rice in midfield, with Bellingham playing as a No.10.

But fans want the England boss to shuffle the pack for the second Euros clash.
