Fans are convinced Eden Hazard's son is destined for greatness after finding out his first name.

Hazard has announced his retirement from football, having released an emotional statement on social media.

He said 'you must listen to yourself' as he thanked Lille, Chelsea and Real Madrid as well as the Belgium FA.

Hazard walks away from the sport as a Premier League legend following his prolific spell at Stamford Bridge, where he won two league titles.

But the 32-year-old will be hoping the Hazard name carries on through his son, with one of his boys previously lighting up a Real youth match.

And he goes by the name of Leo - seemingly a nod to World Cup winner and seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

Earlier this year, a video of Leo in action sent social media wild.

He scored a stunning strike in a youth tournament - a goal his dad would have been proud of. Check it out below:

People online are adamant Hazard's son will go onto big things in the future considering his iconic first name.

One wrote: "That’s a ridiculous name. Kid is destined for greatness."

A second said: "Never been so jealous of a name before."

A third added: "Such a cold name. The future is sorted."

In an interview in 2019, Hazard revealed his eldest son, Yannis, is a big Messi fan.

"My eldest son is a big fan of Messi - in my little family, we all are in fact," he said.

"He’s a special player. Together with my kids I regularly watch the big players: Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar."

Leo Hazard - remember the name.
