Masked rapper and footballer Dide revealed the best player he’s played against.

Back in 2023, masked artist Dide released the song Thrill, which resulted in enormous speculation about the anonymous rapper’s true identity.

Dide claims to be a “rapper at home” and a “footballer on the pitch”, with several people speculating last April it may be Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, then-Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha or Chelsea winger Noni Madueke.

What seems certain is that Dide has played at a good level.

Speaking to Rising Ballers, the ‘Thrill’ rapper said that the best player they had played against was Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne.

He said: “Best player I’ve played against - it’s difficult, I’ve played with a lot of top players.

“I’d probably say Kevin De Bruyne just because he’s the all-round top player. He’s the most complete midfielder I think in the Premier League, and he works so hard off the ball.

“On the ball, everyone knows his qualities and he’s a leader of the team as well, so I’d probably say him.”

Moreover, when asked about the most underrated footballer he’d played with or against, Dide said: “I’d probably say Jordan Henderson is the most underrated.

“Everyone sees him as this player that’s just running around, doesn’t influence the games much or do much with the ball, but he’s a top, top midfielder and it’s not a coincidence that he’s been the captain for Liverpool for so many years.

“The stuff he does on the pitch is crazy and he’s definitely a top, top player.”

Upon Dide’s emergence last year, some Premier League stars ruled themselves out. Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson both said it wasn't them on their Footballer's Football Podcast.

"Obviously, he says south London, big-time Premier League player, I got my own money, so it ain't me," Antonio said.

"I don't think it's Wilfried Zaha, his body shape could be Nketiah."

The truth is no one seems to have a clue who Dide is yet.
