Dean Henderson has confirmed what he said to an angry Pep Guardiola after Crystal Palace defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final.

Palace secured their first major trophy at Wembley, with Eberechi Eze's first half goal proving the difference.

Henderson saved a penalty from Omar Marmoush before the interval, alongside a number of other important saves.

But City felt that the Palace goalkeeper should have been sent off minutes before the penalty for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Henderson handled the ball outside the area in pushing it away from the onrushing Erling Haaland.

But VAR deemed that Haaland would have taken the ball too far away from the goal and there was a defender that was in line with the Norwegian striker.

After the game, Guardiola refused to shake Henderson's hand, and appeared to mouth the words 'it's not fair' towards the Palace and England shot-stopper.

But further footage showed the comments made by both Guardiola and Henderson that started the furious exchange.

The goalkeeper says: "You got your 10 minutes. 10 minutes, yeah?"

In an interview with ITV's Gabriel Clarke, Henderson then confirmed that Guardiola took issue with what he perceived to be time-wasting from Palace in the second half, despite referee Stuart Attwell adding on 10 minutes of additional time.

Henderson said: "I just went to shake his hand, but obviously I think he was disappointed with the time wasting.

"I said, 'You got your 10 minutes you were wanting!' But yeah, there's no hard feelings.

"It's incredible. They [the Palace fans] will remember this forever, like we will."

Guardiola, meanwhile, has yet to comment on the exchange but did praise his players' performances at Wembley.

"We played much better than when we won 5-2 [versus Palace in April]," he stated. "And much, much better than last season in the [FA Cup] final against United [which City lost 2-1]."
