Cristiano Ronaldo bought the entire Juventus team an expensive gift after breaking a disciplinary rule, but it took him two months to take the punishment after he insisted he'd done nothing wrong.
Back in September 2018, Ronaldo was reduced to tears on his Champions League debut for Juventus, after he was sent off for pulling Jeison Murillo's hair in their 2-0 win over Valencia.
The five-time Ballon d'Or was incensed at the decision, but Massimiliano Allegri's disciplinary rules at the club stated that following a misdemeanour, the person responsible must buy all of his teammates a gift as an apology.

According to former Juve teammate Wojciech Szczesny, Ronaldo initially refused to take part in the punishment as he insisted he'd done nothing wrong. But eventually, he begrudgingly bought all of his Juventus teammates iMacs.
"Yes, we all have an iMac," he told Polish talk show Prosto w Szczene. "It took a very long time because he couldn't process that red card and insisted high and low that he was not doing anything wrong.
"It took him a bit, about two months of arguing, but we all have received an iMac."
Szczesny also revealed that he was forced to buy gifts for his teammates after turning up late for training.

"I thought it was Tuesday, but it turned out to be Wednesday that day," he said.
"Allegri called me and said everyone was already there. When I arrived half an hour late on the training field, everyone said, 'Oh, we're getting presents!' I ended up buying headphones for the boys."
Back in 2018, Ronaldo gifted Rashford a signed Real Madrid shirt that featured the message, "To Marcus, keep up the good work."

He also sent the England international a pair of red, limited edition Nike Air Max 97 CR7, which are inspired by Ronaldo's humble beginnings and how his mother Dolores would patch his shoes together when he was a youngster.
Rashford thanked Ronaldo on Instagram but he's never actually worn the trainers and has no plans to.
Speaking to Complex on their 'Sneaker Shopping' feature, the England international said: "No one can touch them. He was one of my favourite players growing up and I like the show.

"I'd love to wear the shoe but if I messed them up, I don't know what I'd do to myself. I'm better to just keep them locked away."
