A rather crazy theory linking Cristiano Ronaldo and Lewis Hamilton has left sports fans divided as some believe 'the stars are aligning'.
Last night (8 June), Ronaldo's Portugal won the Nations League, beating Spain 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
Ronaldo scored his 138th goal for his country just after the hour mark, but he was withdrawn before the shootout, meaning he had to watch on.

But none of his teammates missed, with Diogo Costa saving from Alvaro Morata to win Ronaldo a third international competition with Portugal.
And a surprising link should leave Ferrari and Hamilton fans excited ahead of this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
Every time Ronaldo has won a competition with Portugal, Hamilton has won the following race.
In 2016, Portugal beat France 1-0 to win the EUROS and the British driver won the Hungarian Grand Prix

And in 2019, Portugal defeated the Netherlands 1-0 to become the inaugural Nations League winners.
This was followed by Hamilton's convincing win at the French Grand Prix on his way to winning a sixth world championship.
But there are serious question marks over whether Hamilton will be able to maintain the trend.

All of those previous wins came during his time at Mercedes, where his car was the fastest by far.
The 40-year-old is now struggling at Ferrari and was visibily upset after the last race in Spain, in which he could only muster a sixth-placed finish.
He is yet to record a podium finish in a Ferrari, with his only real highlight being a sprint victory in China.

After such a disappointing race last week, it feels like a big ask for the Stevenage-born driver to win in Canada.
@MarkMazman said: "Canada is not going to be a great track for him. Heavy braking track and that's where is is losing time."
"If Hamilton is able to win a race, then Leclerc will win it," @F1Trolol added.

Others believe a key part to Hamilton's success in previous years was due to the pace of the Mercedes car.

@Arion4565 added: "It's definitely interesting, but the car isn't a second faster than everyone else anymore."
Although there is not much confidence in Hamilton ahead of this weekend's race, it may be a welcome omen for the Ferrari man.
