Cristiano Ronaldo and Jordan Henderson involved in heated bust-up after Al Nassr vs Al Ettifaq

Cristiano Ronaldo and Jordan Henderson faced each other as Al Nassr took on Al Ettifaq

Cristiano Ronaldo and Jordan Henderson were involved in a heated clash after the final whistle of Al Nassr vs Al Ettifaq.

On Tuesday, Al Nassr and Al Ettifaq took on each other in the last-16 of the King's Cup in Saudi Arabia.

In what was a tightly contested affair, a goal from former Liverpool man Sadio Mane in the second half of extra time sealed a 1-0 victory for Al Nassr.

During the match, ex-Liverpool captain Henderson incredibly escaped a red card after shoving Al Nassr winger Otavio three times.

Instead, Al Ettifaq midfielder Ali Abdullah Hazazi saw red for tripping the Portuguese winger in the first place.

Henderson’s actions did not please Ronaldo, who demanded the referee be substituted during the match.

After the final whistle was blown, Henderson and Ronaldo were spotted having a heated conversation. You can watch the footage below.

As shown in the video, Ronaldo was clearly unhappy with Henderson as he gestured towards the Englishman on multiple occasions as they walked off the pitch.

After the match, Al Ettifaq took on social media to request the release of the recorded conversation between the match officials and the VAR over the sending off of Ali Hazazi.

It read: “Ettifaq today submitted an official request to the Saudi Football Federation to disclose the recorded dialogue between the match officials and the VAR room that led to Ali Hazazi's sending off against Al Nass in the King's Cup.

“The club management extends its sincere apologies to the fans for the undeserved exit from the 2023/24 King's Cup.”
