Cristiano Ronaldo snubs Bernabeu and Old Trafford when naming the stadium he 'enjoyed scoring at most'

Cristiano Ronaldo has a favourite stadium to score at but it's not an immediately obvious choice.

Cristiano Ronaldo snubbed both the Bernabeu and Old Trafford after being asked to choose the football ground he most enjoys scoring at.

Ronaldo, 40, is still plying his trade in Saudi Arabia for Al Nassr and is fast approaching the 1000 mark in terms of career goals.

Glittering spells at Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus have all been and gone for CR7, who plundered goal after goal for all three of his former club sides before making the move to the Far East.

But Ronaldo chose not to opt for any of his previous teams when picking his favourite stadium to score in.

Given his high-profile clashes with Barcelona while playing for Real in Spain, it is perhaps no surprise which stadium Ronaldo has chosen.

"I was on top. They whistled at me, but I didn’t care about the insults, I only thought about scoring and silencing those people," the former Man Utd star said via Forbes.

"I liked scoring goals more at the Camp Nou than at the Bernabeu."

In the very same interview, Ronaldo also admitted that Barcelona did try to sign him during his time with Sporting Lisbon.

"It was a phase that was in Sporting and I was able to play for several clubs, one of them was Barca," he revealed.

"A person spoke to me and approached me to hire me. But it didn’t happen.

"I was able to sign for Barca. Maybe they wanted to take me the following year and Manchester United took me that minute.

"That’s how fate is."

Ronaldo turned out against Barcelona on 34 separate occasions, winning only 10 times during the Catalonia club's spell of domestic dominance in La Liga.

His first-ever goal at the Nou Camp came back in April 2012 as Real Madrid won 2-1 and his overall record at the stadium is 14 goals in 13 matches there, including for Juventus in his most recent appearance at the ground.

In total, he netted 14 goals at Barca's esteemed home ground and clearly took great pleasure in celebrating every single strike along the way.

We can't say we blame him either...
