Fans are making an insane prediction after Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season

Fans are making an insane prediction after Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season

Cristiano Ronaldo is in Super Cup action for Al Nassr.

Fans have been making the same point after Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season.

Ronaldo has been playing in Saudi Arabia since joining Al Nassr after his second stint with Manchester United ended bitterly.

Since the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar moved to the Saudi Pro League, clubs have splashed the cash to lure some of Europe's best players to the Middle East.

The likes of Karim Benzema, Roberto Firmino, N'Golo Kante, Ruben Neves and Riyad Mahrez have all since made big-money moves to the Saudi Pro League.

On Wednesday evening, Al Nassr kicked off their 24/25 season with the Saudi Arabian Super Cup against Al Taawoun.

Ayman Yahya scored in the eighth minute before Ronaldo added a second with 57 minutes on the clock.

Reacting on social media, fans are adamant the five-time Ballon d’Or winner can reach 1000 career goals.

One fan said: “1000 goals incoming.”

Another tweeted: “1000 goals we are coming.”

A third fan added: “We definitely getting 1000 goals.”

Someone else wrote: “He can make it to 1000 goals.”

A fifth commented: “I've missed this so much I'm so happy he's back n scoring 900 goals incoming n then it's on to 1000 goals.”

Another fan added: “896 career goals for my GOAT he will not stop n I promise you he will hit 1000 goals.”

At the age of 39, the Portuguese is still going strong after he captained Portugal at Euro 2024.

However, his bid for a second Euros title was dashed after losing to France via a penalty shootout.

Speaking after the match, he admitted that his Euros journey was over.

As per O Jogo, he said: “It is, without doubt, my last European Championship. But I'm not emotional about that. I'm moved by all that football means — by the enthusiasm I have for the game, the enthusiasm for seeing my supporters, my family, the affection people have for me.

“It's not about leaving football, because if I do, what else would I need to do or win? It won't be about getting one more point or one less point. Making people happy is what motivates me the most.”
