Mykhailo Mudryk challenged a Chelsea fan to a 1v1 football match after he was taunted online.

The Ukraine international has struggled since securing a big-money move to Stamford Bridge last January.

And amid the Blues’ continuing poor form under Mauricio Pochettino, one fan furiously appeared to have sent Mudryk a private message on Instagram, lambasting the 23-year-old's performances.

“What the f*** is going on w u?”, the supporter, who published a screenshot of the conversation, is said to have asked. “Did you forget how to play football? Something needs to change. Maybe do some 1-1 sessions. Every time you play we have 1 player less.”

Hours later Mudryk is said to have responded, challenging the critic to a one-on-one game for £10,000.

The fan then told the ex-Shakhtar Donetsk star he would personally pay him for every goal he scores.

Elsewhere, Pochettino issued a damning takedown of himself and his Chelsea side's season after the club’s 4-2 home defeat to Wolves.

It was the Blues’ 10th defeat from 23 league games this season, and the second time in four days they shipped four goals after they were humbled 4-1 at Liverpool on Wednesday night.

"I think we are all not good enough, that's the reality," Pochettino said. "Myself also, as the first person responsible. Of course, what we showed today was that we are not good enough. I agree, 100 per cent.

"We didn't manage the situation properly, and I don't want to come here and say I am the best and the players are the worst - but the players have to take responsibility as I do.

"We are not matching the history of the club. We need to accept it and be critical, but we cannot give up. We have to keep working, try hard to change, take decisions to try to find things in a different way if it's not working in this way and find different solutions."
