After being labelled as the best holding midfielder in the world by former Blues star John Obi Mikel, Caicedo said: "I could name a lot of players, and I just want to work hard and do my best for my country.
"I don't like to say that I'm the best in the world; let the people say it. Thank you for the compliment, and it makes me work even harder."
Caicedo will be back in action this weekend when Chelsea resume the 25/26 Premier League campaign against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
