Chelsea fans think they know who their next manager will be after spotting visitor to training ground

Chelsea are on the hunt for a new manager after Mauricio Pochettino’s exit.

Chelsea fans have come up with a wild theory on who their next manager will be after spotting a visitor at the club’s training ground.

On Tuesday evening, it was announced that Pochettino and Chelsea have mutually agreed to part ways.

This comes after Chelsea finished off their 23/24 Premier League season with five successive victories.

On his exit from the club, Pochettino said: “Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club's history. The Club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.”

Reacting on social media, Chelsea fans have come up with a theory that Cesc Fabregas will be their next manager after he was spotted at the club’s Cobham training ground.

One fan said: “I have a wilde conspiracy’ on why Cesc Fabregas was spotted at Cobham last week. Do you think what i am thinking.”

Another tweeted: “I was thinking about that too when I heard they needed a young coach to come in... I won't be mad if they bring him in for real but I still don't think he's ready yet.”

A third fan added: “I'm there with you already. I swear I'll take it.”

However, some fans are not convinced, one said: “Nah we are thinking he was there as part of his journey to completing his UEFA licenses.”

Another fan said: “He's doing his coaching badges in the UK.”

Speaking to Standard Sport in April, Fabregas spoke about his ambition to become a manager.

He said: “You never know how the future will go, but I want to be a main coach. I am doing my own way at the moment. 100 per cent my ambition one day is to coach a top club in the Premier League, the Champions League.

“But you need to respect the right steps. I feel I am ready to be a first-team coach already so I don’t really want to go into these types of little coaching on the side or being an assistant.”

He added: “I have very clear things in my mind that I just want to be a main coach, a first-team coach, and that’s why I will do my own way until I am ready to jump onto a big train.

“But for now, there is a long way to go. I am just getting started. I feel privileged for the opportunity Como has given me and I am very happy here.”
