During his time with Chelsea, Terry forged bitter rivalries with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. However, one team sticks out when it comes to the team the former defender hates the most.
Speaking on the Flashscore podcast with Petr Cech, Terry revealed his hatred for Tottenham Hotspur due to an incident that happened when he was just 14.
He said: "I hate Spurs. Honestly, it's really clear. And this is when you're at a club for so long, when I first joined the club. I remember being a ball boy when I was 14, 15, and I was by the Spurs fans and they were abusing me. I was a kid.
"They were abusing me, throwing stuff at me, and it was like, wow, I feel it. I really feel, and that just stayed with me. And also really proud of the fact we, in our time, we never lost a home game against Spurs. And that's still the same now. They hate me as much as I hate them, this is fine."
