Jadon Sancho opened up on his impressive start to life at Chelsea after scoring in their dramatic 4-3 win over Spurs.

Chelsea climbed to second in the Premier League on Sunday as goals from Sancho, Cole Palmer [2] and Enzo Fernandez sealed a much-deserved three points in North London.

It was another solid display from the Blues, who came from two goals behind to secure their fourth consecutive victory in the league.

And one of their standout performers was Sancho, who has notched eight goal contributions in 11 games since joining on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

Prior to his move, the winger endured a frustrating spell at Old Trafford. He was memorably banished from first-team training last year after responding to Erik ten Hag's statement about his below-par performances in training.

Sancho was then ostracised from the first-team squad and was forced to train with the academy side before joining Borussia Dortmund on loan in January.

After such an uncomfortable period at United, he appears to be loving life at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, during a post-match interview with The Premier League Matchday Live on Sunday, the 24-year-old gave an insight into his recent form.

Asked what he was thinking when Chelsea went 2-0 down after just 11 minutes, he said: “To be fair, I have a lot of trust in this squad, so I wasn’t too fazed once we got the first goal back."

Sancho was then asked to go through his goal.

“There was a one-on-one opportunity where I saw the chance to cut inside, and I thought, ‘Why not take a shot?’" he said. "In training recently, I’ve been focusing on my shooting, particularly on hitting the far corner, so I am very pleased with that.”

Perhaps the most intriguing comment came towards the end, when former Arsenal striker Ian Wright picked up on Sancho being "back to the Jadon Sancho we know" after a difficult spell at United.

Sancho replied: “From the very first day, [Chelsea] made me feel welcome."

He added: "I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong, and I’m just working hard every day in training. When I get my opportunity, I try to show what I can do. Today, I am happy that I scored and helped secure three points for the team.

“Again, I’m just taking it game by game, and hopefully, I can continue this form. I have to say thank you to the whole Chelsea team and the staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play.”
