Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has delivered a brutal update on Raheem Sterling's future.

The Blues were busy during the transfer window as they brought in the likes of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr, Facundo Buonanotte and Kendry Paez.

Meanwhile, they managed to offload some fringe players - Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix and Djordje Petrovic, to name a few.

However, Sterling, 30, failed to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The forward has been deemed surplus to requirements and was loaned to London rivals Arsenal last season.

However, Sterling failed to impress as he only managed one goal in 28 appearances for the Gunners.

Enzo Maresca breaks silence on Raheem Sterling

This week, Chelsea boss Maresca was asked whether there could be a chance that Sterling and some of the other fringe players would work their way back into his plans.

Maresca said: "They are Chelsea players but are still training apart. But I haven’t seen them since the start of the season.

"They train on a different pitch at a different time."

When pushed on a yes or no answer, the Chelsea boss replied: "No."

The Sun reported that aside from Sterling, David Datro Fofana and Axel Disasi are the other two members who are facing zero future at the club.

The trio have been labelled as the 'bomb squad' and are being placed away from the first team squad, are eating on their own and are also using their own separate toilet.

So far in the 25/26 season, Chelsea have had a decent start, having amassed seven points from three matches.

Maresca's men opened the season with a draw against Crystal Palace before beating West Ham United and Fulham.

The Blues are currently two points behind leaders Liverpool and will return to Premier League action on Saturday night against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
