Enzo Fernandez has shut down rumours of him leaving Chelsea after scoring a stunning free-kick against Aston Villa.

On Wednesday night, Chelsea arrived at Villa Park looking to put their recent bad form behind them and record a vital victory in the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Unai Emery’s Villa.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men raced to a 2-0 lead thanks to Connor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson.

Pochettino is under increasing pressure to deliver better results after Chelsea’s recent defeats against Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Many expected Villa to get the better of their opponents but Emery’s men were not at the races from the get-go.

In the second half, Argentine midfielder Fernandez unleased a stunning free-kick into the top corner of Emiliano Martinez’s goal to make it 3-0 to the Blues.

Celebrating his goa, Fernandez took off his shirt and showed his towards the camera.

The midfielder then pointed his fingers and appeared to gesture that he will be staying at the club.

This comes after rumours linking him with a move away from Chelsea, despite only joining a year ago.

Despite the mounting pressure, Pochettino is confident he can turn this around.

He said: “I think we are all together in this and that's important. I received a very good text from [the owners]

“Of course I am in contact with them and the sporting director every day.”

Pochettino added: “We need to create a good connection with the fans. The fans need to understand when they go to Stamford Bridge it's a different Chelsea, a different project, a different everything. It's the responsibility of the players and the staff to create a connection, something in between they appreciate.

“The fans need from us to see that we really care about the club. I promise you and the fans that the players want to perform and win games.”
