They might have been slapped with 74 charges by the FA but Chelsea are showing no signs of slowing down until somebody makes them.
Chelsea made an enormous splash in the summer transfer window, strengthening in attacking areas at great expense and moving players on for good money in the other direction.
With the FA coming down on the Blues for self-reported alleged breaches of its regulations relating to agents, intermediaries and third-party investments between 2009 and 2022, Chelsea could find their business subject to restrictions.
The charges are focused primarily on Chelsea's transfers between 2010 and 2016 under previous owner Roman Abramovich and are separate from a similar investigation by the Premier League.

Abramovich's Chelsea were hit with transfer bans in both 2009 and 2019 but will hope to avoid a third and are reportedly lining up transfer targets ready for the January window.

It's understood that the Blues are in the market for a key addition to Enzo Maresca's playing personnel and they won't be getting him cheaply.
"The west London giants will now focus on Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers as one of their top targets for January or next summer," according to reporting by Caught Offside.

"Chelsea’s interest in signing Rogers is no secret, with the England international having been on their radar during the summer, while other top clubs have also been impressed by his form for Villa."
Rogers has become one of the hottest properties in the game but has five years left on his contract at Villa Park.
The 23-year-old has struggled for form in a Villa shirt this season but caught the eye in England's 5-0 win over Serbia on Tuesday.

Villa will push hard to keep Rogers but a big fee would be tempting for a club that likely needs a large profit from a player every couple of years in the current regulatory environment.
Chelsea have other players in mind too, with star turns in Italy and France on the Blues' minds.
Rogers alternatives identified by Chelsea
"Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz is on Chelsea’s radar, along with Lyon’s Malick Fofana," says Caught Offside.
Advert
"Rogers is well liked by Chelsea’s recruitment team, but Yildiz and Fofana are two other names to watch if a deal proves too expensive or complicated to get done."
The Blues are likely to be fined in relation to the 74 new charges and could face an additional suspended transfer ban.
