How Chelsea could line up with Victor Osimhen and other signings as huge names dropped in Enzo Maresca's new-look team

Here's how Chelsea could line up next season.

Enzo Maresca could name a new-look Chelsea side for the 2024/25 season as they continue to be linked with a number of transfer targets, including Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea have already recruited new players this summer ahead of next season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tosin Adarabioyo have been snapped up, with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen also coming through the doors at Stamford Bridge.

The club remain in the market for the new talent, with Osimhen strongly linked with a move as the player's agent has spoken out about a rumoured loan deal with an option to buy.

The addition of Osimhen would be huge boost for Maresca ahead of the upcoming season, with Nicolas Jackson scoring 14 league goals as Cole Palmer bagged 22 Premier League goals.

He's a prolific goal-scorer, having enjoyed a brilliant spell at Napoli over the past few seasons.

He scored an impressive 31 goals across all competitions in the 2022/23 term and chipped in with 17 goals last season.

How would Osimhen fit into the Chelsea XI if he signed for the club? Well, we've created a mock line-up, featuring the Nigerian international and their latest signings.

Naturally, Osimhen would go straight into the XI and up top, with Palmer and Christopher Nkunku, who had an injury-hit campaign last season, behind him as Maresca played a similar formation against Celtic in their pre-season game.

Romeo Lavia, who played just one league game last season, could form a double-pivot with Moises Caicedo.

Reece James and Marc Cucurella would provide the width in the team, with a three-man defence of Tosin Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill.

Jorgensen, who joined from Villarreal for around £20 million, is set to replace Robert Sanchez between the sticks so he'd go in net to complete Maresca's new-look Chelsea XI.

So, the likes of Ben Chiwell and Enzo Fernandez don't make the team, with the left-back linked with a transfer away from the club this summer while the Argentinean has been embroiled in controversy with his 'racist' video against the French national team.
