Barcelona are reportedly willing to swap two of their top players to secure the signing of one Chelsea star in a huge deal.

La Liga giants Barcelona has re-established themselves as one of the strongest forces in European football this season.

The Spanish side currently set atop the La Liga table, ahead of rivals Real Madrid, and comfortably within the top eight sides in the Champions League.

But now, a new report has claimed that the Spanish side are looking to strengthen even more, and that they are willing to swap two players to secure a deal for their target.

According to Spanish outlet, via TeamTalk, Barcelona are keen on bringing Chelsea midfield star Enzo Fernandez to the club, and are even willing to offer Frenkie de Jong and Ferran Torres as part of a deal for the Argentine.

Fernandez is one of the most expensive players in Premier League history having completed a £107million deal to the London club nearly two years ago.

But Barcelona reportedly hope to avoid paying a transfer fee altogether by instead choosing to include two of their own players in the deal.

De Jong and Torres cost a massive combined £115million when they were first signed by Barcelona, but their poor form over recent seasons means they are likely no longer worth this kind of a fee.

Transfermarkt value De Jong at £49.3m, while Torres is believed to be worth £24.6m.

At the start of the season, new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca appeared to make it clear that he had no place for Fernandez in his starting lineup, instead opting for a partnership of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo.

However, having scored three goals and registering six assists in his last six games across all competitions, the 23-year-old has made himself undeniable.

Furthermore, he has contributed to at least one goal in all of his previous five Premier League appearance.

In total, Fernandez has made 19 appearances for Chelsea this season, and has is reportedly viewed by Chelsea as a player who is not for sale either in January or in the summer transfer window.
