Chelsea are reportedly set to increase their ticket prices ahead of the 24/25 season.

Since American businessman Todd Boehly took over the reins at Stamford Bridge from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich last year, Chelsea have been the big spenders in the Premier League.

So far, the Blues have spent over £1 billion under Boehly, bringing in the likes of Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Jackson, Marc Cucurella and Raheem Sterling.

However, Chelsea have been performing way below par despite the money spent on new players.

Last season, Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard all took turns to steer the club back to glory but all three failed.

Ahead of this campaign, the club appointed Mauricio Pochettino, who has also struggled so far.

Chelsea are currently in 10th place in the Premier League table after collecting just 25 points from their opening 19 matches.

The Stamford Bridge club are 12 points off the top four places and 17 points off current league leaders Liverpool.

Now, it has been reported that Chelsea are set to increase ticket prices for the 24/25 season.

According to The Standard, no firm decisions are yet to be made but talks in recent meetings between elected fans and club officials have left supporters expecting a rise in ticket prices.

It has been reported that the costs of operating the club’s stadium have gone up 31 per cent since 2018 due to inflation.

Ahead of their Premier League match against Luton Town this weekend, Pochettino said: “I'm an old man, I am romantic. I love football of the past and this kind of stadium makes you remember when I started to play.

“It's a stadium that smells different. It's not luxury in the way that we recognise luxury today.”

He continued: “This type of stadium is one where you love to be there. It's history, it's completely different.”
