Chelsea are prepared to make a shock offer for Manchester United star Jadon Sancho, according to stunning reports.

Sancho returned to first-team training at Man United this summer after being banished by Erik ten Hag following their public dispute last season.

Despite patching things up with Ten Hag, Sancho's relationship with the Red Devils boss is still frayed.

A move away from Old Trafford this summer is still believed to be on the cards.

Paris Saint-Germain were in talks with Man United over a transfer worth around £51 million but those negotiations collapsed, according to The Daily Mail.

With PSG thought to be out of the race to sign Sancho, a new club has entered the mix.

The report claims Chelsea are willing to offer a 'transfer fee' and 'two academy players' as makeweight for Sancho.

The Blues would also be open to a loan deal with an obligation to buy, paying his £290,000-per-week salary in full for the duration of his spell at Stamford Bridge.

Last month, Ten Hag hailed Sancho's skillset and backed him to 'click' after returning to the first-team.

"We spoke well. Anyone can make a mistake. If the player reflects well on that, then draw a line and continue again," he said.

"This club needs good players, and one thing is for sure: Jadon Sancho is a terribly good player. I hope the click will come after all, and that it will contribute to our success."

Sancho played three games for Man United last season before joining Borussia Dortmund on loan in January.

He made 21 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals in his second spell at Dortmund.

Sancho was a substitute in his side's Community Shield defeat to Manchester City last weekend.

He could be in Ten Hag's squad for tonight's Premier League opener against Fulham.
