Sports fans are raving about a 'must have accessory' that costs less than a tenner.

And if the Olympics have inspired you to pick up a racket yourself, it's definitely worth checking out.

As you will know, if you’ve played any kind of racket sport in the past, after a few minutes of battling it out for the next point, your hands can get a bit sweaty, causing your grip to falter. And don’t get us started on uncomfortable handles which make it tricky to execute the right shots.

So if you're interested in upping your game, here’s everything you need to know about the innovative accessory.

The accessory comes in a range of colours and designs.

Priced at £9.99 for a pack of three, the Grip 'n' Rip Overgrip comes in a range of colours. From classic white and black to fun prints and bold hues, there’s something for every player, with it also allowing you to personalise your padel to you and your tastes. But how do they work?

The product comprises three layers – an upper PU layer for grip and comfort, a middle non-woven microfibre layer to absorb any sweat and a base PU layer that grips the racket handle – to create a non-slip experience for players.

Not only does it give you better grip but it also has a cushioned effect, making it more comfortable for you to hold onto the padel racket for long periods of time.

Each pack comes with three Overgrips for less than £10.

How long do they last?

While it can vary depending on how frequently and intensely you play, the brand suggests that “typically, signs of wear and tear will indicate when it's time for a replacement,” with many within their team estimating that “the sweet spot is after 7 or 8 matches.”

However, you may find that you need to replace your Grip 'n' Rip Overgrip more or less frequently.

Can you use it for other sports other than padel tennis?

Those playing badminton, squash or pickleball may also benefit from using the accessory on their rackets but unfortunately they won’t work for traditional tennis rackets.

This is because the Overgrips are designed specifically for padel rackets, which have a shorter handle. So, they won’t be long enough to provide the right amount of coverage on a tennis racket.

They have plenty of five-star reviews.

What are customers saying?

One happy shopper called them a ‘game changer’ in their review. They explained: “The grips are a revelation! Superb grip, long-lasting, and ultra-stylish on my racket. 10/10 product!”

While a second customer praised the patterned Vibes Mixed Pack: “These grips are a conversation starter. They're not just pretty; they improve my game too! Particularly love the black and white ones.”

Another said: “I recently tried these overgrips and was thoroughly impressed. They offer exceptional grip and comfort without being thick like a lot of other grips. The sweat absorption is top-notch, keeping my hands dry throughout matches.

"Plus, the eco-friendly aspect of not needing to cut the grips to fit is a thoughtful touch and reduces hassle compared to using tennis overgrips. Highly recommended for any padel enthusiast.”

If you’re planning on adding one to your basket, you can currently take 15% off any Grip 'n' Rip Overgrip products with the code GETYOURVIBE, when shopping on the brand’s website.
