Internet personality IShowSpeed has hit out at former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher for "talking smash" about him during CBS Sports' Champions League coverage on Tuesday night.

Last week, IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins, took part in the Match for Hope charity game alongside a number of former players, including Andres Iniesta, Andrea Pirlo and Alessandro Del Piero.

According to the event's official website, a total of $8.8 million has been raised for charity, with 22.5 million viewers tuning in for the match that also featured the likes of Miniminter, Behzinga and KSI.

Thierry Henry was also in attendance and during Speed's live stream of the event, the pair bumped into each other at the 974 Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Here, Speed would ask if the former Arsenal striker was faster than him. “I was talking to your manager [Arsene Wenger], and he said you were faster than me [in your prime],” said the streamer.

Henry replied: “Oh yes, maybe. With the ball, for sure. [Without the ball], I'm not too sure." As he was walking away from the conversation, the World Cup winner added: "Check the videos!”

A few days later and Speed was a topic of conversation on Tuesday night's CBS Sports' show as Kate Abdo, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry chatted about the popular YouTuber.

After a clip was played of Henry inviting Speed onto the CBS show, Carragher asked: "If he comes on the show, what would he do? Just run?"

The comments from Carragher certainly sparked a reaction from the American streamer, who posted his live reaction to the segment on his social media channels.

"Bro, what? They think I'm stupid, bro nah, nah!" said the 20-year-old, who has more than 36 million subscribers on YouTube. "Nah, chat. Who is he talking smack?"

Richards soon offered another invite to the streamer, saying: "Speed, come to talk. Please come on, I can't wait for you to meet Jamie Carragher."

Speed soon replied: "Yeah, Jamie Carragher. I'm going to remember that name."

Speed previously agreed to go on the show. "Y'know what? I would love to go on that show," he said after Henry asked him to appear on CBS. "Yeah, [there's] some things we gotta talk about."
