Micah Richards caused the entire CBS studio to erupt into laughter after briefly stepping in for Kate Scott as host.
Scott was performing her traditional introductions for Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Richards when she stumbled over a word when describing the ex-Manchester City defender.
"The Manchester City ambassador, with one trophy already on the masterpiece... mantlepiece," Scott began, before being interrupted by the laughter of the three pundits.
After composing himself, Richards took over the autocue: "Already on the mantelpiece and now dreaming of an English domestic treble. He's Vincent Kompany's favourite, Big Meeks, Micah Richards.

"That's how you do an introduction, Kate!" he joked. "I'm coming, I'm coming!"
"We can swap seats if you like," Scott replied.
"I'm hosting from now. Go home!" Richards laughed.
Continuing to read off the autocue, he continued: "Anyway, tonight overturning a two-goal first leg deficit... slow down a bit, baby, slow down!"
That left Carragher in hysterics, but Richards managed to recover: "Big ask for Liverpool, but at Anfield, the Reds never walk alone.
"Anita Jones went outside the round to experiment the mayhem."
"To experiment?!" Henry exclaimed, prompting another round of laughter from the panel.
Last week, after the first leg tie between PSG and Liverpool, Henry jokingly walked off the set after an animated exchange between Carragher and former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.
Schmeichel, who was at the Parc des Princes for CBS, claimed that Reds manager Arne Slot's defensive approach prevented the scoreline from being greater than 2-0 to PSG.
But Carragher disagreed.
"You're one of the greatest goalkeepers of all-time," he told Schmeichel.
"Liverpool weren't compact tonight, Peter. Peter, honestly, just leave it.
"Peter, the chances! They were ripped open. They were all over the place."
Henry gingerly exited the stage before asking Scott: "Can I come back?"
