Manchester City's social media post ahead of their Champions League clash against Real Madrid has aged badly following their elimination.
Man City headed into Tuesday's second leg last-16 tie against Real three goals down following last week's crushing defeat in Spain.
But Pep Guardiola's team went into the game full of belief as they looked to overturn the first leg deficit.
However, Man City's chances dwindled when Real won a first-half penalty following Bernardo Silva's handball.

He blocked Vinicius Jr.'s strike with his arm, with match referee Clement Turpin awarding a penalty and issuing a red card to the Portuguese.
Real went onto beat Man City 5-1 on aggregate, with the Premier League side's social media post coming to light in the wake of their Champions League elimination.
The club's American account shared an image of Silva in an astronaut suit - referencing Ryan Gosling's new movie, Project Hail Mary, accompanied with the caption: "We believe."
The social media post aged poorly given Silva was sent off and Man City ended up losing to Real.

Man City have exited the Champions League in back-to-back seasons at the hands of Real, who knocked them out of the competition last season.
The Blues won't be able to add a second Champions League trophy to their cabinet, but Guardiola's team are still fighting on three fronts this season.
They are in the thick of a Premier League title race with league leaders Arsenal, who are nine points clear at the top.

Man City and Arsenal will also contest the first piece of silverware of the season when they meet in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
And Man City are still in the FA Cup as they host Liverpool in the quarter-finals.
