Jamie Carragher gets exposed by Borussia Dortmund fan who gate-crashes live CBS Sports broadcast

Jamie Carragher is a self-proclaimed Borussia Dortmund fan after spending time in ‘The Yellow Wall’ but was called out before the Champions League final.

The former Liverpool defender travelled to Germany to watch Dortmund in person prior to their Champions League semi-final win against Paris Saint-Germain and the CBS Sports broadcast turned into chaos.

Carragher was loving life at the Signal Iduna Park sharing a beer or three with Dortmund fans before the game and hilariously conducted a post-match interview with on-loan star Jadon Sancho.

With Dortmund through to the final against Real Madrid at Wembley, thousands of fans took over Hyde Park ahead of the big game and one fan had a message directly for Carragher.

After interrupting Geoff Shreeves live on the CBS broadcast, he asked whether Carragher was in the studio for the game.

“Is this CBS?” he asked. “Is Jamie Carragher here? Hi Jamie!

“Can I tell you something? I met Jamie the other night on a night out and I bought him a lot of beers and he said he was going to pay me back. I DM’d him. Look, Jamie!”

Carragher responded instantly saying: “I remember them all! My people!”

The fan wasn’t finished yet and spilled the beans on what Carragher thinks of his fellow CBS panellists.

“We had a couple of beers,” he continued. “He said a lot of things about all the people. He said he loves Kate but she is great as long as she has a teleprompter.

“Micah - he said he was a better commentator than he was a footballer. No, he didn’t say anything about Thierry, he said he loved him.

“I want to meet him again, it was great. He told me he loved me. If he could just get me a few beers because it was a very expensive night out, that would be great.”

After being questioned by the panel, Carragher confirmed he would pay the fan back.

He said: “I’ll give him a few bob yeah. Is it euros or English? I’m loved more by Dortmund fans than Liverpool fans at the moment!”

On his comments on Abdo and Richards, he said: “You always say my bad if you get it wrong on camera. You’ll take that. I was terrified to say anything bad about Thierry!”
