Erling Haaland's stats have emerged after Manchester City's 2-0 defeat to Juventus - and they don't make for good reading for the Norwegian.

Haaland has scored four goals in his last seven appearances for City but, by his own incredibly high goalscoring standards, the striker would have hoped to be more prolific.

He failed to get on the scoresheet against Juve, with the result putting City at risk of missing out on the Champions League knockout stages altogether.

They have now won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions, a result which stretches back to October.

A goalkeeping error from Ederson led to Juve's opener through Dusan Vlahovic, before Weston McKennie's stunning strike secured the victory for Thiago Motta's side.

But while Pep Guardiola will be concerned about his side's defending - with Kyle Walker struggling at the Juventus Stadium - Haaland's numbers don't make for good reading either.

As per Opta, in his 92 minutes played in Turin, Haaland completed just nine passes.

He had two shots on goal, with one of those on target.

Meanwhile, the Norwegian did not contest a single aerial duel, as per FBRef, and also had just 18 touches of the ball.

He also controlled the ball with his feet on nine occasions - the same amount as substitute Savinho, who played just 12 minutes plus stoppage time.

In comparison, opposite number nine Vlahovic had double the amount of carries at 18, more passes completed at 13, as well as one successful take-on.

Speaking after the game in Turin, Guardiola backed his players to respond amid danger of their season falling apart.

He commented: "Our game will save us. We can do it. We conceded few chances compared to the Nottingham Forest game that we won.

"We're making the right tempo. We missed the last pass, did not arrive in the six-yard box or have the composure at the right moment."
