A number of Monaco players were seen getting off the plane in just their underwear after their flight was cancelled.

On Thursday night, French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are set to get their Champions League campaign underway against Belgian side Club Brugge.

However, the French giants were faced with a logistical problem after their flight to Belgium was cancelled.

As reported by The Sun, the flight was cancelled due to an air conditioning issue.

In a video posted on social media, players were seen on the aircraft in just their underwear.

Footage was uploaded to Monaco star Jordan Teze's Snapchat, which showed the players in their underwear as they looked to cool down.

The players were also seen fanning themselves to keep cool. A number of Monaco stars were also seen half naked on the runway after getting off the plane.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: "I’m crying what the heck."

Another tweeted: "You cannot make this up."

A third fan added: "This is too funny lol."

Speaking about the incident, Monaco boss Adi Hutter stated that the decision was taken to remain at home and travel to Bruges tomorrow due to safety concerns.

He said: "Unfortunately, we were unable to leave today. I don't know if this setback will have an impact, as we are professionals and immediately changed our schedule.

"We will therefore travel to Bruges tomorrow, which is the best possible solution, especially since we already did so for the match in Auxerre on Saturday by traveling the same day."

Hutter added: "For technical reasons, it was impossible to travel, as everyone's safety was not guaranteed.

"That's why we decided, in agreement with (CEO) Thiago Scuro, to postpone our trip."

After their Champions League opener against Club Brugge, Monaco will return to Ligue 1 action this weekend against Metz at the Stade Louis II.
