Burnley have confirmed their promotion back to the Premier League as well as their first signing of the summer while the FA have launched an investigation into the club.
Scott Parker’s side faced promotion rivals Sheffield United on Monday night and ran out 2-1 victors thanks to a brace from Josh Brownhill.
Victory against the Blades secured their promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking alongside Leeds United. Both teams remain level on 94 points with two games remaining in the hunt for the Championship title.

Burnley’s guaranteed promotion has multiple consequences including completing their first piece of transfer business since being recognised as a Premier League side again.
Their return to England’s top league will see them sign Sporting Lisbon winger Marcus Edwards on a permanent deal after agreeing to sign the ex-Spurs winger on loan in January as per OneFootball.
The Clarets will pay €10 million (£8.5m) for the forward who has made a huge impact since moving back to England. As a result of the sale, Spurs will receive a fee due a 35% clause as per Record.

Since his arrival, Burnley’s goals scored, touches in opposition box, big chances, passes played into the box per 90 as well as their win percentage dramatically increased - highlighting the impact the 26-year-old has had despite scoring just one Championship goal.
Meanwhile, Burnley are facing investigation from the FA for scenes at Turf Moor after their promotion was confirmed.
Fans invaded the pitch as stewards tried to get both sets of players off the pitch and Sheffield United player Hamza Choudhury needed to be forcibly restrained after being taunted by Burnley players.

Sky Sports have confirmed that Sheffield United have no complaint to the police or the football authorities after full-time.
Nevertheless, it’s been reported Choudhury was upset after being taunted by players and home fans and the FA have now started a probe into the incident.
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder blamed the stewarding at Turf Moor for the unsavoury scenes on the pitch.
He told Sky Sports: “We were told by the referee before that we'd be getting stewards surrounding us, but I think they went on the missing list, completely went on the missing list.

“It was quite scary out there in the end, where there were people coming in and doing bits and pieces.
“It’s understandable that their emotions are running high, but I didn't think we got protected by the football club and the stewards at all, one bit.
“The referee, when I spoke to him afterwards, he noticed that as well. So I suppose when 20 or 30 lads, 40 or 50 lads are running at you, shouting bits and pieces and doing bits and pieces, just at the end of a game, it's quite difficult just to get off.
“But I'll be absolutely stunned if anything comes our way on any of that.”
