BBC have confirmed a Manchester United legend as a special guest pundit for its coverage of the Euro 2024 final.

Both BBC and ITV will broadcast England's Euros showdown against Spain in the UK.

Gary Lineker is set to host BBC's coverage of Sunday's clash while the likes of Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand and Micah Richards are expected to join him in the studio.

And ahead of the game, the BBC have confirmed Juan Mata will join the punditry squad for England vs. Spain.

They confirmed the addition on X, writing: "Welcome on board, @juanmata8.

Mata enjoyed a legendary playing career as he had spells at Chelsea and Man United.

He won the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup during his time with both clubs.

And he won the European Championship with Spain back in 2012, scoring in their 4-0 victory over Italy.

So, the ex-Spain international can provide first-hand expertise on Sunday's final.

Spain's victory over Italy was their last Euros triumph as they aim to beat England to win their fourth title in their history.

Standing in their way is Gareth Southgate's England, who have never won a European Championship.
