A brand new football league led by some of the biggest names in the sport and on social media is set to launch next year.

The Baller League, a six-a-side league played in Germany, will be coming to the UK and US next year alongside a host of massive names including influencers and former footballing greats.

British YouTuber KSI will be the President of the UK league while IShowSpeed will be the US Baller League President.

But they aren't the only massive names involved in the league, as several other influencers, as well as a number of footballing icons, will be featuring in the league when it launches in March 2025.

The official announcement confirms that former England players and BBC presenters Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards will combine to manage one of the sides in the UK league.

Ex-Arsenal Invincibles Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg and Jens Lehmann will also come together to manage another side, while Brazilian icon Ronaldinho will manage a side in the USA.

Speaking about the concept, Baller League CEO, Felix Starck said: "Baller League is a brand new way to consume football.

"We’re redefining how the game is played by bringing an exhilarating and authentic approach to football, and one that will appeal to current fans along with future generations.

“Baller League is all about forward-thinking, aggressive, hyper-exciting football. We’re about creating a version of the game that’s impossible to ignore - thrilling, bold and packed with excitement.”

Sidemen members Miniminter and Tobi will work together to manage a side while YouTuber and Twitch stream Angry Ginge and former players John Terry and Luis Figo will all manage their own teams.

In total, there will be 12 teams competing in both the UK and US leagues, with each side competing in a weekly league which sees all 12 teams play once in an indoor arena.

There will be 11 matchdays across the season, with each team facing each other once and at the end of the season the top four teams will be entered in a final four tournament to determine the season’s champions.

Each match will be live streamed, with influencer Chunkz hosting the UK show each week.

As it stands, the managers for eight of the 12 UK teams have been announced and trials for their teams will be held trials in both London and Manchester.
