A commentator pointed out one thing that Marcus Rashford was doing during Aston Villa's Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain, and it's got fans talking.

After a dramatic evening of Champions League action on Tuesday which saw shock losses for both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, the remaining quarter-final first legs got underway on Wednesday night.

Barcelona thrashed Borussia Dortmund 4-0 at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, while Aston Villa lost 3-1 to Paris Saint-Germain, despite taking an early lead at the Parcs des Princes.

In the wake of Villa's loss, a piece of commentary from the match has gone viral online, and it's got fans seriously worried ahead of the second leg of the match next week.

A last minute goal from PSG defender Nuno Mendes means that Unai Emery's side will face a difficult task at the reverse fixture it Villa Park if they hope to progress to the semi-finals, where they would play either Arsenal or Real Madrid.

One thing that the Spaniard could look to do to reduce the two goal deficit, is replace Rashford with Villa striker Ollie Watkins, who started Wednesday's match on the bench.

Rashford clearly struggled during the match in Paris, who became clearly frustrated as he failed to make an impact in such an important match, something that was picked up on by Paul Robinson live on BBC Radio 5 Live.

The commentator said: “He is getting frustrated, Marcus Rashford. He is not getting the ball, and he’s not getting the service.”

Reacting to Rashford's performance and visible frustration, one fan wrote on X: "Rashford caught a frustrated figure up front. He had very little support in those critical attacking moments. Villa need a winger who can invariably run down the channels."

Another criticised the Manchester United star, adding: "Rashford showing exactly what he is tonight. Running into defenders, not chasing back & blaming everyone else."

While one hit out at Emery's decision to start the winger, writing : "I'd be seriously p***** off if I was Ollie Watkins.

"Imagine literally dragging Aston Villa to Champions League qualification, being a massive part of them getting to the Quarters and then having to sit there and watch Rashford stroll about without a care in the world."

Villa will have the chance to come back in the match next Tuesday, when they welcome the French champions to England for the second leg.
