William Saliba stunned fans with an incredible moment during Arsenal's big win over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

Saliba helped his side keep a clean sheet as the Gunners opened their Champions League campaign with a resounding victory at the Emirates.

Goals from Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard ensured Arsenal secured three points in their Group B clash.

It wasn't just their attacking stars who delivered stellar performances on Wednesday as the club's French defender starred at the back.

In the 65th minute, with the hosts three-goals up, Saliba showed off his composure as he made fans in attendance gasp in amazement.

He intercepted a PSV attack then displayed his silky footwork to beat a man before playing out from the back to set up a move.

Arsenal fans on social media loved Saliba's moment of magic.

One X user wrote: "His calmness and composure is unreal for his age."

A second commented: "He is a chef, keeps cooking every match effortlessly."

A third added: "Definition of a Rolls Royce."

A fourth said: "They don't build defenders like him anymore. We are lucky to have him playing for us."

Another exclaimed: "Wouldn't swap him for any CB on the planet."

Saliba, who enjoyed a loan spell away from Arsenal before cementing his spot, played 33 games in all competitions last season as he helped his team to second place in the Premier League table.

He's made seven appearances this campaign as he's set for another crucial role.

Arsenal's match against PSV was their first Champions League fixture since the 2016/17 season, with Mikel Arteta hailing the energy inside the stadium.

"It was a beautiful night," he said. "Obviously after such a long time, we wanted to produce the right performance to try to win the game, and it was great to see the atmosphere, the Champions League music, everyone was getting a bit emotional before it.

"We showed especially in both boxes today we were exceptional and that was the difference in the game I think."
