West Ham fans have been branded "classless" for their treatment of Declan Rice on Sunday afternoon.
Rice returned to the London Stadium as an Arsenal player following a £105 million summer move.
He did play in the 3-1 Carabao Cup defeat back in November, coming on as a substitute - and also gave a penalty away in the shock loss at the Emirates.
But Rice made his first Premier League appearance against his ex employers and though many were hoping for a pleasant ovation, he ended up getting wildly by the fans who used to adore him.

As he went to take a corner, Irons fans chanted "You should have signed for a big club!"
Rice came through the ranks at West Ham before captaining the side to a Europa Conference League win in his final game for the club last season.

But after he was booed, Piers Morgan was critical of the supporters.
He wrote: "So classless of West Ham fans to incessantly boo Declan Rice after all he did for their club."
Other fans agreed with the GB News presenter that Rice did not deserve the boos he was subjected to.
Another commented: "Imagine booing Rice. He made them 105 million and left winning them a trophy."

A third said: "West Ham fans booing Declan rice don’t make sense at all."
A fourth agreed: "West Ham fans still booing Rice is pathetic."
Rice was unfazed, however and responded in the best possible way, with a stunning goal and two assists.

The Gunners went 1-0 up through William Saliba's header after a Rice assist before Bukayo Saka doubled the lead with a penalty just before half-time.
Rice supplied a wicked delivery for Gabriel to make it 3-0 and then Leandro Trossard curled in a beauty as Arsenal ran riot in East London.
The fourth goal, in added time, prompted a mass exodus as fans decided they had enough.
Saka hit a second to make it five before Rice curled in the goal of the game and refused to celebrate.
