Viktor Gyokeres looks set to finally be heading to Arsenal according to reports on Tuesday afternoon, and it seems their squad are already excited at the prospect.
Arsenal have been chasing the striker all summer, but locked in negotiations with Sporting over how much they will be willing to pay Sporting for the Swedish international and how much of that will be in add-ons. The Gunners have flown out to Asia for their pre-season tour without Gyokeres as transfer talks dragged on, but have hoped to complete a deal soon to allow their new signing to feature as soon as possible.
Now, reports suggest that a breakthrough has finally been made and Gyokeres will become an Arsenal player this week.
Mikel Arteta had spoken about the striker on Monday by saying: "I cannot comment on any player who is not part of our group yet."

Arteta added: "There's still a long time in the window and we are seeking still, in terms of numbers, we are short and we have to improve the depth and quality of the squad."
Defender Cristhian Mosquera is reportedly en route to Singapore to link up with the Gunners tour to complete his own transfer.
It has now been reported that Arsenal have reach an agreement on a £54.8m deal for Gyokeres, plus £8.6m in add-ons, taking the total potential value to over £63m.

With multiple outlets reporting the development, fans allowed themselves to get excited over the move after weeks of speculation and delays.

So, too, have Arsenal's current squad in Singapore, as eagle-eyed fans spotted three players liking a post 'confirming' Gyokeres' transfer.

Arsenal take on AC Milan on Wednesday at the Singapore National Stadium, which will be too soon for a potential Gyokeres debut.
The Gunners then face Newcastle at the same stadium on Sunday, before a controversial North London derby against Tottenham in Hong Kong next week where they will hope for their new signings to play some part.
