Arsenal fans can’t believe what Ethan Nwaneri has in his Instagram bio after the 5-1 win vs Man City

The 17-year-old scored for Mikel Arteta's side against Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Fans have been left stunned by what Ethan Nwaneri has in his Instagram bio.

Nwaneri, 17, has gone from strength to strength under Mikel Arteta’s guidance this season having scored seven times in his 22 appearances – one of which came in the 5-1 drubbing of Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Of course, at just 15 years old he made his Premier League debut against Brentford in September 2022, becoming the youngest player to make an appearance in the English top-flight.

Nwaneri and his fellow Hale End (Arsenal academy) graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly have set the Emirates alight with some sensational performances this campaign - both scoring in yesterday’s victory.

Arteta, 42, was quick to praise the duo after the match.

“There's a lot of work that has to be done in the academy, a lot of people that have contributed to that,” Arteta said in his post-match press conference.

“And, hopefully they will be really proud because a big part of their success is a lot of people that have been in that process.”

“That I believe in them, that we believe in them, that when I put them next to the boys, they feel that with them, they are as good or better, you know, and that's really, really important and that they play with a lot of purpose, and they played really, to contribute and to make things happen,” he added.

“That's what I like about both of them.”

Despite Nwaneri’s impressive performance, fans were left baffled when they realised what the teenager had written in his Instagram bio.

After yesterday’s game, the 17-year-old posted an array of photographs to his Instagram page, which currently sports 550,000 followers.

And eagle-eyed fans spotted that he still has “Arsenal U18” in his bio, something he will likely change considering his regular involvement with the first team.

Fans clearly saw the funny side and were quick to give their take on social media.

One said: "Leave him alone. He wants to stay humble."

Another added: "Facts though, he’s under 18."

While a third commented: "It's so funny I was thinking about it now like he's been actively posting too."
