A compilation of Kai Havertz taking part in a skill challenge has gone viral, fans think Arsenal have been scammed

Havertz completed the move to Arsenal from Chelsea last month.

A compilation of Kai Havertz taking part in a skill challenge during Arsenal's pre-season tour of the United States has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

Havertz completed the switch from Chelsea to Arsenal last month in a deal worth a reported £65 million.

The Germany international made his debut for the club against FC Nurnberg last week, but failed to impress during a 1-1 draw.

As a result, a highlights reel of his performance went viral. But now, a compilation of the 24-year-old taking part in a MLS skill challenge has been shared on Twitter, with fans left in disbelief. You can watch the footage below.

Havertz failed to register a single goal during the Cross & Volley challenge, as he struggled to find his shooting range. In contrast, teammate Folarin Balogun netted three times.

In search of redemption, Havertz then took part in the Touch Challenge, where he had to control a ball on the fall before trying to volley it into different buckets which were worth varying points.

He came away with a respectable 86 points, but social media was quick to pounce on a few dodgy touches from the forward, with fans joking that Arsenal have been "scammed".

"Ayo Arsenal got scammed", one fan wrote.

“1st clean sheet in Cross & Volley history,” another said, before a third added: "He’s washed man."

However, Havertz is feeling optimistic about his move to the Emirates, believing it will just take time to get used to the Gunners' style of play.

Speaking to Arsenal's media channel after their friendly with FC Nurnberg, the former Bayer Leverkusen playmaker said: "I've been here for a couple of days and I already feel part of the group.

"It'll take some days and weeks to get used to the style of play, that is clear, but I'm going to give everything for the club to get the fitness back into my body and hopefully perform in the highest level in the league."
