Ian Wright has made a shock prediction about the upcoming Premier League season and Arsenal fans aren't going to like it.
With the 2024-25 Premier League season almost upon us, it's the time of year when fans and pundits make predictions (and hope that they don't come back to bite them).
While the debate about who will win the title is pretty much limited to Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool, there are plenty more options when it comes to predicting who will prove to be the best signing of the summer transfer window.

There have already been plenty of comings and goings in the Premier League this summer, and there are still two weeks to go until the window closes.
Perhaps surprisingly, the most expensive signing in the Premier League this summer has been made by Tottenham Hotspur.
After missing a reliable striker last season following the departure of Harry Kane, Spurs spent £65 million to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.

Spurs won eight of their opening ten league games last season, but fell away and ended up finishing fifth in the table.
Ange Postecoglou will be hoping that Solanke - who scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season - will help his side qualify for the Champions League.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright will obviously be hoping his former side will once again finish above Spurs, but he has predicted that Solanke will be the signing of the summer.

"Dominic Solanke will be the signing of the season at £65 million to Tottenham," Wright said on Stick to Football, produced by The Overlap and brought to you by Sky Bet.
"I like that move for them and I think he could be a good signing with the way he plays, he doesn’t get injured, he scores goals."
However, fellow guest Jamie Carragher didn't agree with Wright.
"I look at players, and sometimes when you make the move to a big club – take your [Ian Wright’s] personality, you go into the Arsenal dressing room, you’re a character straight away – but [Dominic Solanke] looks shy to me," he argued.

"I think Bournemouth was perfect. He’s been to Chelsea, didn’t happen. Been to Liverpool, didn’t happen. He goes to Bournemouth and he’s one of the best players. But it’s only one season."
Spurs will kick off their Premier League campaign away at Leicester on Monday, August 19.
