Gabriel Martinelli’s late equaliser rescued a point for Arsenal in their crucial Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
However, the finish also helped one punter win an astounding £12,000 off a £3 accumulator in the most dramatic fashion imaginable.
The unnamed person put together an accumulator using eight matches across five leagues, predicting that all of the fixtures would end as draws.
They bet that the spoils would be shared in the Premier League matches between Bournemouth and Newcastle as well as Sunderland against Aston Villa.

The Eredivisie match between AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord was also on the accumulator, as was PSV against Ajax.

The Women’s Super League was also represented in the form of Manchester United against Arsenal, while Panathinaikos against Olympiacos also made the cut.
All those matches ended in draws, but two stunning strokes of luck got the eight-fold accumulator over the line.
Firstly, the seventh match between Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille was voided after the match was postponed due to severe weather conditions.

That left the punter needing a draw in the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester City at The Emirates.
Erling Haaland’s goal appeared to have ended any hope of the bet coming in.
However, in the closing stages of the match Martinelli chipped Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to rescue a draw for Arsenal and win the bet for the punter.
If that wasn’t enough, the bet also benefited from William Hill’s 15% Acca Boost offer, increasing the final prize pool from £10,526.33 to a total of £12,104.83.

Spokesperson for William Hill Lee Phelps believes the bet took some serious foresight.
“Backing one or two draws is hard enough, but to string seven together across different leagues – from Newcastle at Bournemouth to Man United Women against Arsenal Women – took some incredible foresight from one of our lucky customers,” he said.
“The fact this daring accumulator all came down to Gabriel Martinelli’s stoppage-time strike makes it even more dramatic.

“On top of that, our 15% Acca Boost gave the customer an extra boost of more than £1,500, turning an ambitious £3 punt into over £12,000.”
