"You wouldn't put us two together..." - Declan Rice reveals which Arsenal player he has most chemistry with

Rice joined the Gunners in a deal worth a reported £105 million earlier this month.

Declan Rice has revealed the player he has most chemistry with in the Arsenal squad and his answer may come as a surprise.

Earlier in July, Rice completed the £105 million switch from West Ham to the Emirates after months of speculation.

The 24-year-old became Mikel Arteta's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Kai Havertz from Chelsea and Jurrien Timber from Ajax.

Rice made his debut for the Gunners against the MLS All-Stars last week, showcasing his range of passing during a perfect 5-0 victory.

However, the England international was unable to prevent Manchester United running away 2-0 winners in their bitter pre-season friendly in New Jersey.

He has since lifted the lid on the player he has the most chemistry with in the entire Arsenal squad, admitting that people 'wouldn't put them together'.

Rice names Arsenal player he has most chemistry with

Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Rice was asked if he had felt any special on-pitch chemistry with a player.

"Yeah, you know what, from the first day I was there, Leandro Trossard", Rice said (quotes via Football Daily)

One might have expected Rice to name one of his England teammates, or indeed Eddie Nketiah, who he has been close with since the age of nine.

But it was Trossard who left an impression on the midfielder, with Rice labelling him an "all-round top person".

"You wouldn't put us two together but he's like a really, really top guy," added Rice.

"I sat next to him on the plane and I've been with him here quite a lot, he's just an all-round top person. I've really got on with him.

"And playing against him in the past as well, he was always a pain so it's nice to have him on my side now, such a top player.

Rice went on to say their was a 'family feel' in the dressing room, despite the mix of nationalities.

"But I feel like with everyone here, all of the Brazilian guys, the Portuguese guys, the French guys, everyone is so top," Rice continued.

"From the outside you see Arsenal as a big family together, and that's exactly what it is inside the dressing room."
