An Arsenal star has told the club he is considering his future just a year after signing a lucrative four-year deal there.
Reiss Nelson joined the Gunners back in 2008 as an eight-year-old and has since progressed through Hale End to become a first-teamer.
Despite making his debut back in the 2017/18 campaign, Nelson has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular, having had stints on loan at Hoffenheim and Feyenoord in a bid to garner more regular football.

However, the 2022/23 campaign saw Nelson play a key role from the bench in Arsenal’s second-place Premier League finish, with his displays earning him a new four-year contract at the club.
Yet another campaign of limited game time has, according to the Athletic, Nelson informing Mikel Arteta and club chiefs of his intention to “assess” his options before returning to pre-season.
Nelson scored once and produced two assists in his 23 appearances across all competitions last term, with the player now said to be weighing up his options after making just one Premier League start.

Arsenal are said to be looking for a transfer fee of around £20million, with Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, West Ham and Nottingham Forest said to be interested in the winger.
Nelson failed to score in his 15 Premier League appearances last term, with his only goal coming in the League Cup victory at Brentford in September.
It’s set to be a busy transfer window for the Gunners, with other first-teamers including Aaron Ramsdale and Thomas Partey facing uncertain futures.
